It has been decided that Zaha Hadid’s new project, an amazing three towers, would be realized on a site four kilometres at the west of Brisbane’s commercial centre, in Australia. This new architectural work is an interesting arrangement between old elements (very few ones) and new elements (many of them). This structure is to be build in the state of Queensland, and would be named “Grace on Coronation”, including three towers with a modern design using the same well known characteristics of Hadid’s works. These towers would be build in a peaceful symbiosis with this region’s ABC old broadcasting building which is recorded as one of this country’s valuable pieces of 1860s. If you have knowledge of Dame Hadid’s works then you certainly know that this brilliant architect uses in her works modern elements and characteristics, never evading from using updated and special elements. From the box shaped hotel at dream city (this hotel is to be built in Macau until 2017) to the building of Haydar Alief Art Centre in Azerbaijan, they are all a testimony on Dame Hadid’s way of seeing and also her modern and amazing works.
Curved lines are one of obvious characteristics of Hadid’s works and they can be seen clearly through her recent project. If you look at the conceptual facade of this project from a distant point, it would remind you of glass bottles put upside down near a river bank. The special design would be a great help to the optimization and a maximum use of these towers external space.
Hadid declared at a press conference that the special and conical design of each tower, in some way, is helping to reduce its effect on its environment. Furthermore as each of the towers would occupy a less area at the ground section it would give a better general view of the river to the public. Beside this functional design, an animated space and an active urban environment with a joyful atmosphere created for inhabitants of Toowoon’s area, with also the creation of a park and an amazing green space along the river, all this would add more and more beautiful landscapes around the region.
